micebucketchallenge

You have to have been living under a rock not to have heard of the Ice Bucket Challenge that has been going on all over the world to raise money for ALS.

Arty wanted to do his own thing and as he’s a cat, he wanted to raise money for Cats Protection. He also wasn’t that keen on cold water.

Presenting Arty’s Mice Bucket Challenge…….

You can donate to Cats Protection by text message. To do so, text CPSA70 and an amount of £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 to 70070.
Every penny that you donate comes straight to Cats Protection and we are very grateful for all your support. Thanks!

Cats Protection – Celebrity Paws

Last year I blogged about the auction that Cats Protection put on every year selling the ‘paw prints’ of celebrities. This year they asked me to join in!!

This is my paw print, it will be available to bid on from the 29th November with all money raised going to my favourite charity in the world – Cats Protection.

Check out the Cats Protection site for more information.

Oscar’s Charity Badges

Oscar's charity badges
Oscar Badges available on Etsy

Our kitty Oscar has become rather popular on Facebook recently, with his comical grumpy looks and handsome face.
He’s not really grumpy but the camera always makes him look that way. You can see more of him on his Facebook Page.

He wants to help cats who really are grumpy – those in shelters and rescue centres. 50p from every sale of his badges will go to a chosen charity. This month it is my local rescue Holly Hedge. They do great work with cats and dogs. By purchasing a pair of grumpy Oscar badges you will be helping kitties in need :)

On Friday I’m doing my first shift collecting for the Cats Protection. The CP do a huge amount of wonderful work in the UK, rescuing cats, running neutering schemes and generally being awesome with kitties who need help. Even if you can’t afford to donate there are still lots of other things you can do. There are local branches all over the country which need volunteers to do all sorts of things like help in their charity shops, collect money, help with fundraising etc. Check out what they’re doing in your area and get involved! You can also ‘like’ them on Facebook to keep up-to-date with their work. There are so many cats out there that aren’t as lucky as mine or yours and need help. If you can, please do something to support the CP or your local cat charity if you’re not in the UK.
Thank you.
