Yes, I know it’s Friday but I like all my Etsy posts to be in one place so it’s temporarily Thursday!

My hair is finally long enough to use hair stick to hold it up. I really like the as a way of styling hair. You can tie your hair up first and then add sticks as decoration or use them like I’ve pictured as a way of holding hair up.

I found a few lovely ones on Etsy but not enough for a treasury. Here they are, I want them all!

They’re much better than the boring stick I’m using at the moment.

It’s nearly a new year and with that comes resolutions. One of mine is always to be more organised, to use a diary and get better at planning and organising my time. Usually that involves lots of good intentions but I never manage it.
This new year I’m determined to make it happen.

First thing I need is a diary or journal to get organised. Etsy as usual has lots to choose from, here are some of my favourites. You can see more of my finds in the Etsy Treasury I created.

I’m trying to learn how to make lino prints, it’s harder than it looks.

Whilst I practice, have a look at these great lino-cut cats in the Treasury I created.

I only ever wear two rings, on my right hand. I’ve worn the same star ring for years and years and the other one replaced a lost ring last year. I’m a creature of habit and it would take a lot for me to wear something different but I think I could be persuaded by some of these beauties!

I’ve made a treasury of my favourites on Etsy.

I *adore* MarMar’s shop. I think if I won the lottery I’d buy one of everything! All of it is so very cute!

It’s getting to that time of year when you climb up into the attic to get the tatty old box of Christmas decorations down to find that half the baubles have broken and the lights are tangled up in a knot so bad that there’s no hope of ever getting them undone.

How about decorating your house and tree with cat decorations?? I’ve found some great cat Christmas decorations and have made a Treasury on Etsy with some of my finds.

I love this little cat, he’s got a great expression.

I think these would be lovely decorations all year round.

There’s something about felt I really like. It’s great fun to work with and can be made into the cutest things. I thought I’d have a look and see what some of the talented folk on Etsy have been up to with felt.

You can see many more of my cute felt kitty finds here on my Etsy Treasury.

Do you like zines? I think they’re great!

If you don’t know what a zine is, it’s basically a little self-published magazine. It’s normally pretty small, doesn’t have a huge number of pages and isn’t produced in mass or with any great high-tech printing methods. Lots of them are just photocopied and hand coloured (if coloured at all).

What I love about zines is that it’s a really affordable way of collecting artwork of illustrators and artists that you love. I have a huge collection of postcards, zines and other bits and bobs by inspirational people. One day, when I have a studio I aim to cover a wall with it all.

I recently got some wonderful little zines from Heidi M. She creates wonderful illustrations and you should definitely check out her work. I love how she decorated the envelope with three little cats like mine, it was a lovely thing to get in the post.

This zine looks amazing, I think I might have to order it.

There are lots more awesome zines on Etsy, here’s a link to a treasury I made with some that I found.

I’ve also created my own zine with my cat drawings

Yes I know it’s Friday but I forgot to post this yesterday!

This time of year is when I most want to go out and buy lots of new clothes. I made a Treasury on Etsy with some of the clothes I’ve been dreaming of getting.

These leggings are so amazing!! I want them.

This week I’ve been looking at lots of art. There are so many great artists out there on Etsy. Here are a couple of my favourites, you can see the whole Etsy Treasury here. It makes me want to be more adventurous with colour.
